Do I "Have" to include the words "Sponsored Links"

I've got my Ad Unit (160 x 600 skyscraper) on the left hand side of my site,
no borders, text / background colours to match site,

It has the "Ads by Google" text at the top of the Unit- very clear to see.

But the standard module that I use (for the Joomla CMS) comes up with the words "Sponsored Links" at the head of the Ad Unit. Is it OK to change it to "Related Links"? It will still obviously have the words "Ads by Google" directly below this.

Thanks,
Ian

"related links" would be against the TOS. It would be better if did not label it at all. If you must label it then you have to label it as an "advertisement" or as "sponsored" . "Related links", "more links" etc. are not allowed.

Many thanks for the info. So it's OK to have no label at all? Changed it back to "Sponsored Links" while I have a think about it. I don't want to get banned off the programme. Only got approved today at lunchtime and have had 5 clicks already

Many thanks,
Ian

PS: I am correct in thinking there is no problem with having the Link title and the Link URLs the same colour?

"Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements" are OK. No heading would also be suitable.

And you can have the link titles and the link URLs the same color, there's no problem with that.

I think it is best if I answer your questions here. I looked at your site and it looks ok. Your using the correct heading. You can confirm this by reading the google adsense policies:

https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...ry&medium=link
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=367803

Regarding your ad link color, i.e ok too. Infact google recommends that you blend in the ads:

One last point, you have changed the ad url color to blue. IT would be better if you changed it to something that blended in more like black.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look, and for the advice- much appreciated.

Will change the URL colour to black tonight.

Ian
