I think its when you haven't put a border in, or more precisely when the border is the same colour as the background... then I think it doesn't look particularly nice.

If you don't use borders on your Ads, then these are FANTASTIC! But the border with the ads by google bit does look silly as mentioned above.

my CTR increases! My revenue in crease 50% in last couple days. It may be because of those new ads design. I am happy now!

I think it looks better even with borders. just has to use different blending methods than old once.

Yes they look better, but I am starting to think they are a little harder to blend into your site and make them not look like ads as the "Google" writting is much larger and is well visible to the eye.
