Question How reliable are all those list of high paying keywords?

Hi

i saw alot of sites and list in the forum about the keywords and the price for those keywords.

Got the following questions:

1 -how reliable are those? how do people determine them?

2 - Since overture Bid view tool got shutdown, what is the alternative now?

3 - For example, i saw refinance keywords pay $12 in one of those high paying keywords list, but i have a site completely dedicated to refinance, its somehow a mini-site, but i get paid about .10 cents/click. why is that?

4 - Do google (or yahoo, or any pcc company) pay different amounts to different sites, based on how popular is that site or PageRank?

Thanks

Cheers

Try the Google Adwords keyword tool. It's not 100% accurate but it will give you a good idea of actual bid prices.

That doesn't mean ALL advertisers bid $12. That's the TOP bid price, there are other advertisers bidding less.

Google also has 2 advertising networks - the search network (ads that show when you do a Google search) and the content network.

The adsense ads you run on your website are from the content network
.

Advertisers can choose to run their ads on either network or on both. Bids are higher on the search network, as is the quality of the results (most advertisers get better-quality traffic from the search network).

On the content network, not only are the advertiser bids lower, but many advertisers opt out of it because of the poorer traffic. So there are fewer advertisers and the top one may be paying nowhere near that $12 bid on the search network.

Also, if you're running 3 adsense blocks on your page, ads in the 2nd group will pay less than the first and ads in the 3rd the least of all.

Finally, your EPC will vary depending on how well your entire Adsense portfolio performs. For more information, google the term Smart Pricing
