report myself - mistake?

well i know my ad placements are pretty good because i clicked on an ad that piqued my interest ... from my own site

once i realized once i did, i emailed google with my pub id and time + ip of click.

this isn't gonna auto get me booted is it?

Just kinda regretting reporting it even if it was the right thing to do.
(not from a $$ stand point i could care less about collecting the 75 cent click but more worried about them bringing out the ban stick)

has anyone reported themselves before for an accidental click?

Yes, report it in a polite way. You'll get a sort of canned response, telling you to not do so and blah, blah.

I've clicked one of my ads last week, and I sent them and email regarding the situation and the answer was:

forward. Please rest assured that when I investigated your account, I can
verify that it's still active.

It wasn't accidental so don't be surprised if you get the boot even though you reported yourself. Even if you didn't report yourself G would've eventually found out. Why didn't you just copy and paste the url into your browser or view frame source and copy the url from there?

well i have seen in digitalpoint forum , guys who got baned even after reporting them that there are suspicious activities and sudden increase of clicks. normally they first send u a mail like don't worry we will check it and might have find yr self baned next day. that's Google .. so just keep yr fingers cross and hope for the better. good luck.

Reporting your mistake was the only thing you could do and since you did it i hope they will sort it out in nice way.
