How to select keywords in AdSense

Hi,

Im starting to use Google AdSense and I have seen some list of the best payed keywords. But I was wondering how you can choose the words to generate the ads in the banners. Doesnt adsense automatically generate them based on the site content?

thanks

After some research I found this about section targetting:

http://www.google.com/support/adsens...topic=0&type=f

So, my idea is to include all the (dinamically generated) content of my page into the tags:

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->

Content to be ignored by AdSense

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Then, I would put all the interesting keywords (the ones with more CPC that are still related to the topic of my site) into the tags:

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=) -->

Content to generate AdSense ads

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

This is my conclusion after reading what I found, but I would appreciate comments on this matter by people who is more familiar with the use of AdSense and have experienced good results.

I am asking you to share your know-how

Thanks!

Trying to influence what ads are getting displayed but stuffing certain sections with keywords to getting higher paying ads, could be and probably is against the TOS.

I think it is fine as long as the generated ads are related to the content of the site. Im just trying to get the higher paying ones in the the wide range allowed by the topics treated in my web... which isnt against the TOS.

if this is the trick to be used then add those high paying keywords into meta keywords categosry instead of this. That should be more sensible.

Thanks, can anyone confirm that using the keyword in meta tags works?

I always thought Google kind of ignores those metas. But what about adSense?
