This was first started as a forum topic here on NP (found here: http://www.namepros.com/564588-huge-...ml#post3528713), where I daily posted short domains being deleted that day.

It turned out you guys really liked it, so I wanted to turn it into a website and add a few tools but I really didn't and don't have any time to do it, so I decided to give this mini tool out for free.

What does it do?

This tool returns short domains that will expire daily. It returns domains which you want, for example 4 character .com domains with or without numbers and without or with hyphens (which would return L-LL, LL-L or L--L domains).

The script as it is now returns:

• All LLL domains
• All LLLL.com domains
• All L-LL.com, LL-L.com and L--L.com domains
• All CCCC.com and NNNN.com domains
• All C-CC.com, CC-C.com and C--C.com domains
• All L-LL.com, LL-L.com and L--L.com domains
• All LLLL.net domains
• All LLLL.org domains
• All LLLLL.com domains
• All LLLLLL.com domains

You can easily add your own here.

The script is really easy to modify. You just need to call this function:

generate($length,$extension,$numbers,$hyphens)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=605004

Arguments:

$length - the length of the domain for example 3 will return 3 char domains
$extension - the extension of the domain (com, net, etc.)
$numbers - should the domain include numbers? (true/false)
$hyphens - should the domain include hyphens? (true/false)

Installation

1. Just unzip the package and copy it into your web server (no configuration required)
2. Open the file on your server
3. Wait for a while (about 20 sec) and you will get the results printed out, you can then save the results (In browser = File > Save).

Turning this into a stand alone website (for developers)

You should create a cron job, which would be ran every day to get out the domains and store them into the database (because the script needs a while to return results, because it reads from a huge file). On the front end you would just read records from the database.

License

You are allowed to use this script for anything you want. But you are not allowed to sell it or redistribute it as your own without my permission.
