I'm looking for more work as a freelance artist and thought I'd test the waters over here among other places. If any of you are secretly writing a children's book, I'd like to offer to illustrate your book dirt-cheap and royalty free. Young Children's books are generally about 20 pages including covers, and cost at least $1,500-2,000 for quality royalty free illustration. Generally even when dealing with royalties, you expect to pay $500+ plus at 5-10% in royalties.

I'm offering an illustrated children's book in any cartoon style for $250, and any illustrated style (more realism) for $500. No royalties. You write a contract if you want to.

Writing a book? An ebook? I'll do cartoon illustrations for as low as $15/each with a 10 cartoon minimum.

Why so cheap? Simple: I need work and I'm willing to sacrifice my normal hourly rate of $35/hour to less than $10/hour in order to make a couple extra dollars.
Don't think you're getting quality for the money? Judge for yourself...maybe you don't like my work and that's perfectly fine, but at least check it out.

Obviously there are a lot more services available from graphic design to cartoons to illustration. In fact, it never hurts to know an artist, especially one that will give you good rates.
