A few days ago I went live with a PPC site with dui attorney, lawyer related keywords and so far:

14 clicks totaling $6.02 = .43 / click

Sickeningly less that it costs to run the same keywords in AdWords.

I agree with comment that google filter out higher paying ads for lower end sites. They reserve these ads for higher PR sites and there own directly searched feeds. I have also noticed that my search box results have a higher payout for clicks than ad feeds on my sites.
