The theme is free to download under the Creative Commons licence which means that the user must leave the links at the footer (around 75% of people abide by this... but what can you do!)

I can't say for certain how many backlinks you will get, all I can say is there are millions of blogs and this is an attractive theme. Generally around high xxx even into xxxx's. There is a good article here which is a useful read
