Afternic listings are sold when an offer meets the asking price, or when an offer meets reserve without getting superseded for 7 days.

Bazaar auctions are a little different. After the first 24 hours at the start price, the price of each auction drops a half percent every hour. The first bid at the current price wins the auction immediately. You can also place lower 'proxy' bids at any time; such bids win the auction if and when the price declines to your proxy bid amount. The auction ends without a sale if it declines to the stop price without a bid at least that high.
