Have you ever seen a LL.us domain actually being used? They take them as reserved domains. I thought that they were just inactive domains, but look at this:-
AFAIK the LL .us are registry-reserved. However each state has their own LL
like state.wy.us or state.nv.us etc (however some states now tend to use .gov like http://delaware.gov/)
someone was selling one -- i think tx.us a few weeks back. i didnt pay much attention, as it seemed like a domain that couldn't be owned by a private party.
Hmmmm.... that should not be possible, unless it was a typo or a scam.
Do you recall where you saw it?

tx.us is listed at Sedo as "For Sale." It has been listed there for at least a year and has received 14 offers.
I've just dropped my rep at Sedo an email to confirm that this is mistake. Whois shows that tx.us, just like all other LL.us, is still at Neustar. It does not appear to be in the hands of a private party.
Just to follow-up, I have been advised by my Sedo rep that tx.us should not have been available for sale and they are removing the listing.
