Very solid sale on a good keyword - fair enough price IMHO, but I agree that I would have liked to have seen it a little higher. Not a bad day for .us, though.

The writer also said he turned down a 5.5k offer on wifi.us - I would have too.
Good week for .us, unfortunately it probably won't be featured as strongly in DNJournal as it would on any other week due to all the TRAFFIC conference activity.

...and a handful of 2 keyword domains - all for future projects. But if I wait until I am ready to build, I'll be paying more for .us domains - particularly the one word generics.
You know you need to spend more time sleeping and less time looking for domains when you look at whois on a bunch of drops, wonder who got them, then get an email a few hours later saying "congratulations on your successful backorder blah blah blah".

Investing.us seems to work better and investments.us would be a killer name.
Still, mid-high $xxxx sounds right for the name.
This sale follows a spate of finance/trading related names recently.
A lot of these sales are being snapped up by investors which is in itself a good sign and a great barometer for future buying patterns.
