Six year anniversary

Today is the six year anniversary of the The Dot TV sub forum.

Certainly the landscape is different and a special shout out to allthings.tv who has become another source for .tv info. The .tv sub forum still remains the place that started it all. I have had people in 2011 email or pm and say, I got into .tv and learned everything I know because of all the people from the .tv sub forum, Thank you.

Domainer of the year goes to ClaudeDauman. Sales of Metal.tv and QA.tv are just some of the big sales Claude had during the year.

Sadly this year saw the passing of James Barclay, sometimes a controversial figure, but always someone who was a champion for the extension, and someone admired by many. Rest in Peace James.

Thanks for all the veterans who have made this place worthwhile. The place is certainly different now but many still come here with their love or interest for .tv.

As I say every year thanks to John, Jean Francois, Lance, Ian and .mike thanks for having the interest in the extension that got Rj and I to create this place. Its been a longgggggggggggggggggggg six years.

Thank you to RJ for the support over the years.
Good luck to everyone going forward.

Wow! 6 years! Amazing! And I can honestly say that if it wasn't for this forum I would never have gotten into .tv. I also would never have found out about Gold Rush 2010 which was only a few hour opportunity. Have made some great friends and am very appreciative to Ray and everyone else that has contributed over the years.

Special shout out to James, I miss you buddy!

Congrats to all "old" .tv'ers, to all "middle" and "new" .tv'ers!

Definately this place was the first place to learn about .tv for most of us. Thank you Ray for creation and RJ for support.
Special thanks to all "veterans" who were very helpful for all newbiews (for me too).

Thanks to all and long live to .tv

...a very important forum when I was just getting into the sport/hobby/business of domaining.
May it always be a beacon of light for all who sail the sea of the .tv extension...

Ray

Everyone with a brain can see the amount of effort you put into making this place a success and the first place where everyone still comes when there is news of any significance.

I for one massively appreciate the amount of knowledge that has been shared in this area over the years and has saved those of us involved in the .tv world (as developers or domainers) a considerable amount of money and effort.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=737073

Six years is a long time and we are now in a world where .tv is not something new and exciting, but something that everyone knows.

Some fortunes have been made that otherwise would not have been made had it not been for people finding this place and learning the ropes...

Thank you.

.TV Domainer of the Year 2007

Six years already!! A lot has happened and I have to say that without this TV forum and especially withhout Ray, who started this all, I wouldn´t be this much involved in .tv names.

Thanks Ray and all others involved, especially the first years was very learning as all was new and a TV forum like this has made a lot of people aware and learn about this extension!!

Wow 6 years!!! Congrats to everybody on making this a success! I remember when I started buying .tv in 2000, I thought I was the only "nut" out there in .tv(lol), and than I found namepros, 6 years later and realized there are lot's of us, great people, great community. I am not active here like I used to, twin 3 year olds will do that:-), but I do check in and impressed with what's going on. Thanks everybody!

Getting the word out and taking on the "job" because that's what it was/is Ray - is greatly appreciated - my first dot tv name bought was OpenHouses.TV - finally technology just might be catching up I'm not a Domainer - but any time there's a forum that means there's still a vision - Happy Birthday! and thanks again Ray

Wow!
6 years already huh?

Luckily I am very fortunate to have been involved in Dot TV for about 4 years now and get this - I just had the biggest sale of my life (one of the top dot tv sales this year here in this beautful, memorable and short dot tv extension...I wish I could write about it but unfortunately it was an NDA. I tried, I swear I tried so hard...I even offered a coupla hundred dollars to the new owners to allow me to disclose the sale on DomainSales.tv - but with no such luck.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=737073

That is just one of the many reasons I am so grateful for this forum, so with that being said I thank you Ray, RJ and NP!

Happy 6th Birthday to a place I owe an awful lot to.

nice 6 years for this subforum and mine personal 5 years I have discovered it.

So it was great times here with Australia,Equity, SKG, James and some other pioneers.

Let wait and see how it will look like in another 5, 6 years.
Many things what has been predicted here as mad future became reality these days , so dreams comes true.

I am not here as often I would like to be but I am still on the .tv track, my favourite extension. Slowly but surely .tv is expanding in popularity and usage. I am not an expert but at least in the 6 years of this forum I can claim that I have learnt what wisdom is : quality of names over quantity. Kudos to you Ray, we owe you a lot, you are still the man for the years to come.

.TV is just an extension.

The personas of the .TV forum are what make it all worthwhile. There are people here that I respect, like, and think great things of.

.TV people are good people (mostly).

I've heard some great sale stories and more money shifting hands from people than outsiders care to realize. I don't trust 90% of sales I read about in any extension but these sales are from people I trust.

I still maintain its the most brandable extension (even if my favorite domain is a .me :^) )
