Had an off on a domain name. Would you sell or keep?

I recently had an offer of $150 on a name I own, rude.tv - My question is, would you sell or keep it?
Thanks

it really depends on your own price expectations but I believe it's kind of a low offer. This is a nice .tv which would work for the more risque type of videos (like the .com). I would counter offer, probably round the $1k mark, maybe a little higher. You can always go lower if the prospect is unresponsive.
So, would I sell? Yes of course, but not for $150.

Congrats, and best of luck on the sale. This is a great name, and that offer is far, far too low. Either use it as a starting point for negotiations, or keep it for a more appropriate amount, which you will definitely get.

Find your sweet spot with regard to price, counter above it, and bargain down to that desired amount. If they are serious, they will be more than happy to bargain for this gem. An offer that low is merely testing the waters, and they are most likely expecting your counter offer.

-Regards

Agreed - very nice name with a number of good uses.

If the offer came through a brokerage house like sedo or afternic, you can always consider sending it to auction. Although I suspect sone of us NP TVers would be bidding at that starting price, If no one else were to bid you would be stuck selling it at $150.

If you counter at a comfortable level and they counter at an acceptable level, You can send it to auction then, or when they do counter at an acceptable level.

There is some risk to going the auction route. A small number of successful bidders do not consummate the transaction. I've only had that happen a couple of times, but it's always frustrating when it happens.

Hope I'm not rambling. Good luck in your negotiations.

I won this domain at Boxcar for $150 and sent the payment but Boxcar have admitted to basically screwing up the auction so I have asked Mark for a refund. No harsh feelings on this one.

No I was the only bidder on a Boxcar auction for the domain Rude.tv but I was only made aware after I paid that even though I had won the auction the seller still could decide whether to proceed with the sale or not. Not quite sure how that one works and I won't be using Boxcar again anytime soon to buy domains. Myself and the seller have discussed the situation and we have now peacefully resolved it.
