uStream.TV goes Mainstream with Charlie Sheen?

Looks like .TV will be a little less of a secret now that Charlie Sheen is broadcasting his own channel on uStream.TV.

Yea .... I finally broke down and went to uStream and
watched the "Sheen" videos. Exposure for uStream sure
but Sheen has lost it. I think most of "that" traffic"
will simply leave in disgust never noticing the platform.

Too bad .....

I dunno. I think it can't hurt the extension, so it's good news. I never followed Sheen or his sitcom until all this came out. I was surprised at how completely unfunny and poorly written the sitcom was. Then I watch the Ustream thing and was surprised at how whip smart Sheen is - I'd have to sit around all day thinking up the things that come out of his mouth. Too bad he's batsh*t crazy.

If it helps, here I am a domainer, and I never noticed Ustream had a tv extension....(as Sheen would say...duuuh!")

Think he's been brilliant in Two and a half men, but uStream was where he let it all hang out and its a hit.

If a few thousand people don't like it it doesn't really matter, a million plus are seeing these videos and following him on twitter and basically lapping it up, crazy rants or not.

The man is totally cocking a snook at mainstream media by using them to increase his celeb value, pure genius in my opinion.

The only people 'offended' by the coverage seem to people who can't make the same thing happen for themselves, be honest here, how many celebs could even get two million followers on twitter in less than a week?

And .TV is getting major play with him using Ustream, I've also been seeing a LOT of mention of .TV sites in general reporting in newspapers and television aside from the sheen connection, which is great for the extension.

Well, I'm offended by most celebrity coverage, so you must be right... because I couldn't get 2 million followers on Twitter if I set myself on fire.

I lived with a beautiful and charming genius level drug addict before. He reminded me of her quite a bit, which is enough to know to that even brilliant train wrecks are still train wrecks.

Maybe I saw the wrong 20 minutes of the show, but someone thought they were good enough to post on Youtube. I was under the impression that Charlie Sheen didn't think much of the show, either.

Charlie Sheen broadcasting his meltdown on ustream.tv will help mainstream the extension; pun intended, especially with 2M people following it on twitter - so far.

He obviously wants to be his generation's Hunter S Thompson - violently loving the American Dream.
Notice the big clue - he mentions Thompson's Steadman.

One of the funniest episodes of this show was where all the women in a bar seemed to recognize and avoid him, and he was trying to figure out where they knew him from, and it turned out that an ex had created a web site for his fictional character named CharlieHarperSucks.com .

It was funny, it was a 'real' site, they had a forum on it, it was staged like an ex had created it, lol.

They could do all sorts of interesting things with that domain now, hehe.

In regards to warlock.tv, great reg. I see that TigerBlood.tv is up and running, lol.

He just got control of charliesheen.com and the site player is from mobile rider .com. If this is it for ustream it was a flash in the .Tv pan. Literally.

Beyond .tv, internet tv is WINNING when the number one network show implodes and its star, and highest paid actor on tv, explodes onto the web.

The networks have been very concerned about their content going "over the top", blocking shows from Google TV, suing and so on.

Well, their biggest star just went over the top big time... and Google just got into the "TV Studio" production biz with the purchase of Next New Networks. I feel a convergence coming on.
