Question Regged a "profession".tv

I was curious as to everyone's opinion on registering professions in the tv extension. For example, say the domain was Pediatrician.tv (not my name-just an example).

The one I regged had 90,500 exact searches in May per Adword Keytool. It also has 8,650,000 results in Google. I have tried searching the forums to find any "profession".tv name but was unsuccesful. Personally, I feel that a profession is valuable in any of the major extensions but I would really like the opinions of those of you who have had some experience with the tv extension.

I think professional names in the .tv extention would be worth regging like the one above, it has good development potential & enduser sales potential.

but what exactly is the benefit of registering a .tv name verses a .com, .net, etc. ?

well I own photographers.TV and portraitphotographers.com, so I will answer that question.

PortraitPhotographers.com is a great brand name, lots of search volume.

But IMHO nothing except a one word DOT COM can beat a one word DOT TV for branding.

Even when I own the DOT COM or DOT NET (for example BanquetFacilities.com), I also have the DOT TV.

I have only a few domains that I feel are brandable and I would like to develop them soon and see if I can make some money. However, I have to get decent enough with DreamWeaver to build a site and figure out how to use Google Ads.

The domain in question in this thread may be tricky to develop. I think LocalExperts knows what I mean.

I like professional domains because you can show videos and interative content about topical subjects like photography, legal, medical, and other issues. But yes, there are a couple professional categories that are great to monetize, but might be a little personal for some folks.

Perfect example is liposuction or tummy tuck or breat implants. I once sent a business development team to a cosmetic surgeon convention in Vegas. All the men returned and said it took them weeks to view their wives bodies in a normal light due to all the videos playing at the convention showing impants being inserted and tummy tucks being performed.
