In .tv virtually no channel's are selling.
I still think they are Ok for certain genres but they wont sell well in most occasions.

Yep, I only have a few .tv ones but have a good number of .com, in fact I hand regged a number of .com ones a few days ago to add to my portfolio

Im done with channels...

I have about 4 channel.com's and 1 channels.com that will serve as linkz to other of the genera.. I have only 2 channel.tv's..

I know this is not exactly referred to as "channel" but personally I feel
NN.tv have huge branding potential for tv stations or channels to sought after in the future. For example, 30.tv would make a great name for a channel 30.
The problem is they are expensive and premium though.

I got two .tv channels; autochannel.tv and bettingchannel.tv. I recently received several offers in the low $xxxx for bettingchannel.tv though.

I just picked up a *****channel.tv on sedo for $60. This particular domain was an excellent bargain IMO and really should have gone for more as it was pre-registered by the previous owner to December 2014! This alone will save me at least $150 and I don't even have to think about any futher expense until almost 2015.

I like channels very much personally. I think they are a decent long term play depending upon the strength of the keyword(s) they are built around.

Then again, in addition to "Channel" i also like:

Channel
Network
Show
Tube
etc... etc...

I think it really just revolves around how well the keyword(s) and channel/network/show/tube/etc... work and fit together.

I just picked up a 1 word killer "keyword" network.tv the other day that i could not believe was available. Could not believe it was there for the taking!

I couldn't register it quickly enough when i realized it was available.

i used to love channel names and they were hot in 07

there have been some decent sales with this format. newschannel.tv and business channel are the only 2 i really like.

i dont like this format that much anymore, dont see much in this area imo

I think its only worth owning a channel name if you own the triple package such as BlankChannel.com along with BlankChannel.TV and BlankChannelTV.com. If you wanted to advertise is as "Blank Channel" people will probably go to BlankChannel.com and a few might go to BlankChannel.tv. If you advertise it as "Blank Channel TV" people will either go to BlankChannelTV.com or BlankChannel.tv. If you advertise as "BlankChannel.TV" a lot of people will go to BlankChannelTV.com. So basically you need to own all 3 and the package will be worth much more.

I have seen a fair few Channel's being used for Development so owning them with the longterm hope of selling to an enduser may be worthwhile in certain genres, especially when the keyword will never sell or is far too expensive then keywordchannel.tv could be an option.

One of mine - webcamchannel.tv ( which is parked ) has suddenly sprung to life in the past month, and is getting quite a few visitors, along with some clicks earning me some $$ as well. I've no idea why the sudden surge of visits to this one, but I ain't complaining.
