Equity.tv

Hey everyone,

After careful deliberation for the last week now, I've decided to take the plunge and buy a "premium renewal" .tv. This is my first BTW.

I was basically looking for a short domain with a premium renewal fee of not more then $500/year.

So after looking at Enom's list and digging my way through the dirt of crappy names like 2cX.tv, I came along Equity.tv .

First I was kind of surprised that it wasn't registered.
Second of all I did the due diligence on Google Keyword & Traffic Estimator.

Google searches/month: 11.100.000 (Not bad!!!)
Traffic estimator CPC: min. $13.51 - max. $23.54 (Not bad again!!!!)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/558985-equity-tv.html

Third of all, it's a financial keyword, so possible end-users like banks & real estate companies, lawyers, etc...could pay $$$$$$$ for this.

And just a small fourth if I may, it has several meanings...which I love!

So pls guys, give me your constructive critiques/opions/comments whether positive or negative, I'm all ears!

Thanks,
Richard

Good name and for $500 renewal it won't break the bank. Also, there are some very good deals on .tv for both premium and non-premium on the aftermarket.
Good luck.

Thanks, Jim

In all honesty, this was a bad reg. IMO.

I think there are a lot better $500 premiums and many, many better bargains available in the aftermarket with 'standard renewals'. Unless you have a specific plan to develop this particular domain, I personally would recommend contacting enom and see if grace delete applies to premium .TVs.

In other words, try to wrangle a refund and take the $500 and do some .TV aftermarket bargain shopping.

Best of luck regardless of what you decide.

I thought you got this name because you're a big fan of "Equity" (mod of TV forum)

Honestly, I would have to agree with Greg, especially if the renewals are more than normal reg fee renewals.

Try selling this domain to Bloomberg. I wouldn't be surprised if they were willing to pay a fortune for it. They're a $5.4 Billion company and Bloomberg TV is among the most highly regarded TV stations in the world:

Agreed.

Assuming your intent was full build-out, I think solo development would be a bear - sans deep resources (time, $$$, development acumen) and industry-specific contacts.

Unless you've already mapped out a development/monetization strategy, I would turn my attention to building a prospective buyer list and crafting a strong pitch.

Best of luck.
