![]() ![]() | Sedo question.. I received an offer for one of my .TV's, a very generic 2 keyword term..I want to cancel the negotiations because I don't want to let it go for the price they are offering, & I dont want to push it to auction, so I tried cancelling the negotiations, but it says that I must put a dollar amount that I would accept before it will let me cancel the offer...this does not make any sense to me, if I have it listed as make offer, why am I supposed to now put a price in just to cancel the negotiations? Should I just let the 7 days run out on the offer? This is the first offer I have recieved from Sedo. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Many have been in this position before. Simply counteroffer with a price that you would accept. If the comeback from the other party doesn't match what you want - then cancel the negotiations (the system will allow that to happen then).

![]() ![]() | Thanks for the quick replies If I let the offer run its course for the 7 days, & I dont respond or do anything, the negotiations will be cancelled without me having to put a price correct? Jimbo, I'm sending you a pm. |

sedo help page : "Bid threads cannot be canceled by either party until the first counter-offer has been received. Therefore, you will not be provided with the option to cancel negotiations until you have first made a counter-offer for the buyer and subsequently received one back. We have this policy in place to help foster negotiations as many times lower offers can be worked upwards, and the other party should always know what your price expectations are. Also, submitting a counter-offer keeps the marketplace running smoothly and effectively for all members, increasing your chances of closing a sale. We ask that all sellers and buyers respond to any offers they receive in order to give the other party a range to work within. Should the negotiation thread remain inactive for a 30 period, it will expire and be cancelled automatically by our system. Once the bid thread is no longer active, you will then be able to edit your domain’s offer page settings, including price and sales options." | ||||
