Premium Renewal

If this is ok with everyone Ray,
Then in the interest of balance and to get a clearer overall picture of renewals from a number of people, i think we should use this thread to report our renewal experiences.
We hear the odd horror story about renewals going wrong and the odd one or two that post they are happy with how it went.
So i am hoping this thread gives us a fair, balanced and accurate barometre of what is going on which we will be able to look back at over a period of time to gauge the overall story.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/510599-premium-renewal.html
I hope this makes sense

I know some people do not like to reveal the renewals of their names, but please do try to give us as much info as you are willing to,so we are able to try to gauge a picture of the whole renewal process across a many Np'ers
If you are not willing to give any details then if you could just fill in the was the renewal what you expected section.

I will start as an example

Domain name- li.tv

Year registered- 2007

Original Reg fee $1k

Discounted - no

Recent Renwal $1k

Had the name expired before you renewed? no

Was the renewal price what you expected?.- yes

Were you happy with the whole renewal process?- yes

Other comments- none

Lets not get caried away with another negative issue (even though thats why some of you guys come to .tv land)

Obviously the odd horror story with renewal fees is not nice but let they owners sort it out & work out who is to blame without mass hysteria that will give impression you cant get a fair deal with .tv's as i believe that isnt most peoples experience.

Heres my Premium .tv experience:

Domain name- Belfast.tv
Year registered- 2007
Original Reg fee $500
Discounted - no
Recent Renwal $1k
Had the name expired before you renewed? no
Was the renewal price what you expected?.- yes
Were you happy with the whole renewal process?- yes
Other comments- Hassle free, no issues

Domain name- Scotland.tv
Year registered- 2007
Original Reg fee $300 for 2 years
Discounted - $300 for 2 years then $250 after that
Recent Renwal $250
Had the name expired before you renewed? no, bought in aftermarket
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=510599
Was the renewal price what you expected?.- no, $50 cheaper!
Were you happy with the whole renewal process?- yes
Other comments- The initial owner Kev negotiated a discount on this domain so it cost him $300 yr for 2 years upfront then $300 a year after that.

I have 2 other Premiums with no hassle either.

Cheers,
Ronnie

Domain name- Biology.tv
Year registered- 2006
Original Reg fee $1000
Discounted - 70% off - $300 p.a.for 2 years paid upfront then 50% off $500 renewal after that.
Recent Renewal $500 Sept 1st
Had the name expired before you renewed? no
Was the renewal price what you expected?.- yes
Were you happy with the whole renewal process?- yes it worked.
Other comments - I would liked to have been able to renew at my new rate at a time and length of my choosing rather than an automated renewal for one year. Make sure you get any deal confirmed in writing.

Never had a problem and actually on some names that were supposed to be renewed on the changeover they actually gave a year to the renewal as a mistake.

Igal who has $25 renewals no problems for him. Elequa who I do know has never had any problems with all his premium domains at $50.

v

I just noticed that on my earlier post i typed $1,000 where it should of been $500 as i've had no problems with renewals.
I renewed a premium this month & it went just as planned also, no problems at all in regards premium renewals being upheld.
