Are .tv premiums reasonable ?

Here is a .tv compared to a .com 3et.com that will sell in minutes on sedo.

Does anybody feel it is reasonable to charge a premium close to the selling

price of the .com ANNUALLY ?

I'll tell you what you are desperate to hear:

SOME .TV's have over priced premium renewals
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/505444-are-tv-premiums-reasonable.html

BUT BUT BIUT

Many Premiums are priced much more fairly so have allowed people like me to buy Premium .Tv's that would cost me $xxx, xxx - $x,xxx, xxx in .com

I dont like what is being done with many drops being made more expensive but i wont spend my days complaining about it.
if you dont like the prices then dont reg them, its simple that way!

This subject has been done so many times, very boring IMHO
It seems a high % of your posts are very negative Cosmicray, having a bad month??

Now i'll let you complain some more while i go back to the aftermarket and buy some premiums that i'd never of got without the premium system in .tv

Thats my one & only post in this thread, let the complainers continue.

Cheers,
Ronnie

This does get old, but let's do this one more time.

Verisign bough the .tv corp and are allowed to charge whatever they like for their .tv domains. Just like an individual domainer asks whatever they like for their domains.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=505444

Reasonable ? That is a matter of opinion.

Is $10,000 for QVX.com reasonable ? Not to me, but to the owner of the domain I am sure its reasonable.

Premium pricing exists in .tv and it will. If that is a deterrent for some to invest in the extension ( and for some I believe it is) then its a deterrent. For those who do not like premium pricing they should look for another extension. I just emailed an owner about a domain that is a .com and his asking price was $2,000,000. Was that reasonable ? Not to me and boy $2,000,000 that is some premium, because last I checked it cost $7 to reg and that is a mighty premium to pay. Everyone pays a premium, some upfront, some year to year. The beauty is its your choice do whatever you like, there is opportunity everywhere.

Do you like .tv ? Verisign like .tv so much they bought the whole company, so any non regged .tv is their .tv and they can charge whatever they like, just like you can ask whatever you like for your .tv. They are a business in it for profit just like you. So whether its reasonable or not makes no difference its their company to market how they like. We can choose to participate or not.

It looks like most (95%) of the premiums that have been registered are not being developed. Buying premiums to "sit on" until .TV becomes the next sliced bread will be a losing proposition.

I think in most (not all) cases premium domains should be avoided unless you need that particular name for development.

Like ronnie said, some are reasonable, some are ridiculous, and some are steals . I think through trial and error, a good domainer can spot the steals and make quite a profit

I agree with Micro on probably 95% of the premium names. Some are woth a bit of a premium, what that is though is one persons thoughts versus another.
