Only because someone else own ifood.tv, nothing to do with the name or it being a .tv, infact it was good for .tv as 2 sites were using it and The Dragons seemed to know about .TV and like the idea of what they were doing.

I don't think they will drop it Mike, they have 15,000 visitors, they will probably use it to redirect to their new brand imo

They done very well with their presentation, the 'experts' liked there site & make positive comments about many of the groups ideas (video ads, increased video use online...etc)

One of the main points that stood out for me was that EVERY single 'expert' full understood it was Ifoods.TV, not Ifoods.com or IfoodsTV.com so once again this shows that the general public easily gets .tv's, know that it is a extension, know how to type it in and wont instantly think 'Ifoods.com' like this big bad .commer's try and make out again & again.

And not one of the 'experts' asked why did you use .TV rather than .com as they work better?????
.TV looked perfect on such a site, branded as a 'Channel' and further reinforcing the Internet & TV = .Tv idea

I'm sure after than show then there would of been many discussions between families sitting at home on how The Internet & TV are becoming one thing, how great the whole premise looks & works & of course "I wonder if _____.TV is available.

Another nice step in the steady growth of .tv IMHO
I loved it, since the show was on then i've had a number of calls from people saying "Did you see one of they .Tv things you are in to were on Dragons Den, is xxxxxxx.Tv available, what about xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tv, what about xxXxvdvedvevfvd.Tv....etc

I'm willing to bet that a high number of UK individuals & companies will be searching for .Tv domains today on the back of that show.

I can guarante 100's in Glasgow alone but most expect to find Whisky.tv, Drunk.tv, Sport.tv, wee.tv, IrnBru.tv, beilyerheid.tv and other Scottish gems so will be left upset.

The Ifoods.Tv show may help bring attention to those Ikeyword.tv domains, shame i dont own any though.

williamhillbingo.tv is also being advertised in UK.

I would like to see this trend pick up.

It was interesting to see that the dragons picked up on the fact that such a similar name was in use by a competitor.

During the last series, Theo put £250k into an online company that provides gambling alerts (best rates, new propmos etc). These so called 'online experts' only had the .co.uk - within seconds I was checking on the .com and it had been taken moments before by another domainer!!!!

No doubt this was when Theo learnt the hard way....

Good exposure for .tv - amazing how few people looking to make their fortune on the internet don't 'get' domains, one of the most important aspects of their site.

lots people in the uk go to 123-reg.co.uk to reg there names and if you want a prem tv name it just says taken...

so if your not a domainer and just want that name you will not know that you need to go to enom.com for it....same thing at godaddy.

i still dont realy think the man in the street is recognising .tv .

when they do i will change my shop sign back to tv..

but i just dont see this happening for a good few years yet...

i dont seem to be getting anymore hits on my names then i did last year.
am forever saying "no its not tv.com..its just .tv....

maybe its just the fact i live in hull yorkshire.
bit fed up with it to be honest
