citystate.tv and citycountry.tv? your thoughts please

I've been thinking about this a bit lately. Its a bit late for us small players to own country.tv, so....in reality, its city or town.tv, state.tv (or province.tv, which I belive is similar to state.tv), or, if it's a really great place, citystate.tv or citycountry.tv.

I've recently adopted HomerAlaska.tv, (a great tourist destination) which has led to all of this thinking, of course if you just google search homer you will get the simpsons and all types of junk. So...I think in this case, it's a good idea to have citystate, maybe even over the city name. (of course I'd love to have alaska.tv, but, I digress..)

What are your thoughts on citystate.tv or citycountry.tv?

I personally think that HomerAlaska.TV is a very good registration.

The best proof that it works well is that :
- homeralaska.org is actually the official site of the Homer Chamber of Commerce
- homeralaska.com is the visitors and tour guide developed by Homer News, the local newspaper

Homer.TV and Alaska.TV are both still available at this point, but they're both premiums ($500 and $5,000/year).

Citystate.tv and Citycountry.tv can work well in specific cases like this one. Quite a number of them are already registered, especially when it comes to big cities and tourist destinations.

But be careful with those, as it's always much better and much more valuable to own pure geos, especially when they're non-premiums and when you can handreg them or buy them at reasonable prices.

Thanks Michael for your reply....geos are tough...

I've a few pure geos as well, but in tourist areas that newly popular and "up and coming", and from leads I have from travelers discovering new trendy hotspot type places, but nothing the internet public traveler is fully aware of...yet....The big tourist venues that are popular seem to be taken for the most part...

I think it's time to relax and stop buying new names, and focus on developing what I have (which is for the most part areas and ideas that I love and feel passionate about)

It's so easy to be the consumer, and buy, buy, buy. It is much harder to focus, and grow.

City State is great. Lots of people bought city state here...

I started with PortlandMaine.tv and then after success went after and bought Maine.TV

My new site will be up shortly....
