Because this domain is in "Pending delete" status. It's being dropped and will soon be available to handreg.

No, it wasn't true.

Read what Polin posted. It was actually due to a bug on ahead.tv, which means that some of the info concerning premium fees was incorrect during the past few days.

This is very interesting....I actually checked the domain on Ahead yesterday about 8hrs before the drop and it had already changed to $1500/yr from the $500 it was a couple of days earlier. Makes you wonder what is actually going on as this was previously normal reg fee and then get's two price hikes within 4 days!!

Looks like in future anything half decent that get's dropped is going to be made premium with a min of $500 - $3000. This should make any good domains that we currently own at normal reg fee a lot more valuable as the reg fee will not change if the domain is transferred.
