Tim Lovejoy ( from Soccer am fame) and his crew have today launched ChannelBee, the Uk's first Web TV Channel to show live gigs from start to finish without buffering!.
Looks like great technology and it will also have the Soccer am style banter, sketches etc.
I will be watching!!
It is advertised as ChannelBee.com but look what i found.
.net./org/.info etc are all still available to reg.
They went for .com and .tv only.
Ignoring this great technology that allows buffer free videos, i love that they have only taken .com and .TV , this is exactly why .TV is growing and will continue to grow.

Lovejoy is a Legend (i used to love him & his crew on Soccer AM)
People like him have a lot of power as he through his shows, features in Managzines, Footy write ups plus lots of website he features on.
I love it, site looks great and i'm sur it will become very well known as everything that lot has done so far has become big, type of stuff most men in UK talk about downt he PUb (when we are not debating maths, politics & feminism )

It's a great site, fresh content, big names (for Uk at least), looks fantastic and i'm sure with the number of shows & Newspapers Lovejoy works with then it will egt great publicity.
Site works great on my PC, maybe you need to update some video drivers or something.
To say 'Time we had a fantastic .tv site, not this rubbish' is over the top, their is a number of brilliant, original .tv sites that are doing very well.
Sounds like your going on another of your now famous 'I HATE .tv's this week phases' til you sell again then you will say' .tv is the future, i LOVE it'

ChannelBee works wonderfully well here in Germany and is exceptionally crisp - and that is before I've used their downloadable player.
To be able to pull the likes of bIG names like Mat Horne, KT Tunstall, Justin Lee Collins and Tim Henman shows they are serious.
The format is VERY SoccerAM-ish. In fact I keep feeling an urge to shout 'Easy, Easy, Easy'. The demographic is very young and laddish.
Whether the content is for peoples taste or not, is not really of much debate - the real issue here is the quality of the stream. It is excellent.
I'm not trying to push names here (seriously Bob) but I own ChannelB .TV and ChannelB TV.co.uk and can't for the life of me think why they decided to go ChannelBee rather than ChannelB. Another very urbane channel is Manchester's ChannelM ( http://www.channelm.co.uk/ ) but their use of the Narrowstep platform shows the massive difference in visual experience and quality.
All in all a bloody good site - worthy of any output from the Crankies.
(sorry to anyone else outside of the UK who won't have the slightest idea what SoccerAm, Easy,Easy, or Crankies is all about.
i was talking to a guy who wanted to buy my manchesterchannel.co.uk to build a channelm site,why i said there one allready.

i just think these sites have no content and never will,people will not use them.
its time there was a great tv site .and please dont tell me to go to justin.tv
someone did say to me the average internet user only visites 3 or 4 sites,so to move to a tv site it has to be good,we need a ebay.tv bbc.tv ,in this class
anyway thats my view ,i just think most tv sites my well prove to be a turn off because there full clips and rubbish content.
I just read in a Scottish newspaper that in the future David Beckham, Noel Gallagher (from Oasis) and a host of other UK celebrities will be featured on this site & there will possibly be other very similar sites for other UK famous names and content genres.
The man behind this whole project is the mega rich Simon Fuller who is the man behind the Spice Girls, American Idol & many other TV, Music and general entertainment projects.
Now for the downside
The reality is that this is .com, it is ONLY advertised as ChannelBee.com, never a mention of the .tv and as far as i can find out there is no content that is exclusive to the .tv site.
It is good to see that they knew enough about .tv to reg it as a defensive reg but almost everyone who uses this site will see it purely as a .com, only those who are looking for .tv's will find that ChannelBee.tv works unless at some stage they have a plan to use the .tv for a certain part of their content (that would be great)
I do really love the site, one of the best proper Online Tv Channel's i have seen so far.
