| Has a .tv deal you had ever fallen through - and been ultimately a GOOD thing for you My first LARGE .tv negotation has just fallen through over who pays for the SEDO costs (I suggested half each - seller wanted ALL paid by buyer - I felt ripped off - this caused bad feeling, etc, etc).
Regardless of why - the fact is the deal fell through.
Others have surely been in a similar scenario - How did they overcome the empty feeling of all that work falling through for no return?
Can someone tell me the positives of a .TV deal falling through for them? |

| In October 2007 True.tv was bid up to $1750 @ Sedo but the "buyer" did not make payment. As you know I recently sold for $4000 so it really turned out to be a good thing for me as the price I eventually got for the domain more than doubled in 7mths. |

Nice to hear the story.
Sadly, on this deal I was the buyer and we'd started to get development ideas together.
Who knows, the money we saved might be spent on a brilliant name elsewhere. |

| I find it is best not to dwell on "What could have been" and look at it as their loss not mine. I'm thinking that if you really, really wanted the domain you would have paid the fee's so there must have been something (besides the principal of it all) that made you walk away even though you had put so much work into it! My way of thinking is your 6th sense kicked in and a little voice in the back of your head told you to let this one go. Although it hurts a little now I believe you will be happy with your decision in the long term.
Good luck. |

| I put ARE.tv up for auction at sedo and it went up to a whopping $90 - Christmas Time - then the buyer never paid!!! Thankfully! I later sold it for over $400. |

| I very nearly sold one of my top geo .tv's for $10k about 5 months ago to another domainer but we has a fall out over Sedo fee's so it never happened.
Since then i have had at least 2 offers above the $10k mark so it looks like i will be better off by holding to sell later.
This must of happened a whole lot to major .tv owners recently as last year you could get great keywords & geo's for low $x,xxx but now owners laugh at £xxxx bids and generally want $xx,xxx - $xxx, xxx for these domains.

| Last year I really wanted a loan name and it was 2 words.
I was young in .tv extension. Maybe 3 months into it at the time.
We were going back and forth with numbers, payment options and etc.
I am glad seller said no after this and saved me 2000 or 2500 bucks for this name. My offer was 1000 then 1500.
I liked the name very much and at the time was willing to do the deal over a 3 month period or so.
Very thankful It didn't work out looking back. If the seller put it in the marketplace or sedo then I will attempt it possible but would probably fetch for 300 area. That's on the high end. Of course this price would be through a domainer. If its an end user then probably would be 5000 and it is a nice branding term.
Good thread here! The past few months I surly learned a lot. |
