I do not have a problem with -ing.tv at all, although some domainers do.
There are just certain -ing words that encapsulate the meaning such as Kayaking and Surfing. IMO, I would rather these domain names than the shorter Kayak and Surf.
But it some cases of course, the -ing totally down grades it. The classic would be Golf (as my examples are sports related).
I have only ever bought one -ing .tv and it has received a few decent offers though i am not selling.
The domain is Slimming.tv
I know when i asked for appraisals on Slimming.tv then most domainers were negative about -ing domains but in my view it is completely down to IF the domain works right with -ing or is it just a keyword with -ing stuck on the end of it
To be honest i cant think of too many -ing domains that i would buy but if i found one that looked right, sounded right & it was well used then i would buy it without a 2nd thought.
Just my view though, i'm far from a -ingo expert though

It's a work in progress but you can view ALL my domains in one place.
Thanks.
I bought it from Sedo about 6 Months back, only cost around $200 if i remember right. Offers so far have not been fastastc but enough to make approx 5x profit.

i think it depends on the name- like with the surf example- surfing just sounds better, even tho it has less google results- video.tv would be better than videoing.tv- you know? kinda depends

Back in October of last year, Atypical (Patty) sold Landscaping.TV $6,500
I currently have peeping on auction at sedo. A lot of words ending in -ing are descriptive and go well with the extension e.g. Bowling, racing.
Depends on the word, but some ing words are category killers and represent the best word possible for the niche. As Heroes mentions surfing is much better than surf (IMO if you want to focus on the sport of surfing) Just look at some of these ing sales
So no reason to avoid a domain just because it has an ing on the end. Really depends on the word. I have a few ing words - all of which I feel are much better than if they didnt have the -ing (some getting end user interest as well)
BreastFeeding . tv
CoinCollecting . tv
StampCollecting . tv
PartyPlanning . tv
we discussed surf and surfing last year ....... i said surf was better , but as names run out , why not ing , in the right place , no problems ......running , exercising and so on
