He just means that this name made it into the high priced section of namepros.
No offense to SLL, but I would be willing to bet it won't sell.
The reason not many make it in there is because very FEW sell, even in our own dot tv section. If we were having sales left and right that were public and visible, that would be a different story. But we have to be realistic in what tv is right now to domainers, and it isn't much.
There are absolutely fabulous names for sale right now in our section, and no one is biting, not even me. Why? Because the folks here have our names.
I have my specific niches, and I stick to them, there isn't anything for sale that interests me. Our all inclusive Benzdorf has a very broad range of things, but he has most of what he wants already.
DomainAcrobat has his fill and is actively selling what he won't use. And so on and so on. There are sales happening, but just not public and obviously not here.
If I managed the high-end arena forum, I would be very skeptical of a lot of ccTLD names because the market isn't there right now to back it up.
And again, no offense to SLL, but I don't think that even his deserves to be in that section. Even at 2500, with a 3 million population, it is very unlikely to sell in there.
I wish him the best, but realistically, the market for TV is private sales right now, and for very very generic keywords and HUGE geo's. Very little is happening outside of that, although there is a bit.
Absolutely. There is a healthy market but the names have gotta be perfect primes. I dunno why people are bothering regging -ing and -ed. Maybe in 5 years time there might be a market for these but it ain't a cert.
Very difficult selling names on NP for good prices. We all want a bargain, that's why we're here.
No one is anti .TV .... I fill in for Sharon many times in that section when she is away , And I own .tv's
To be honest , I have a hard time approving anything not a nice .com or very rare in other extensions. There are literally hundreds of domains not approved that "could" Sell for 1k + .... But we prefer to approve domains we "know" can or will sell above that range easily.
If you seen some of the domains submitted - You'd get a good chuckle As I do many times. People assume just because they are asking 1k+ that their domains should automatically be approved ... if that were the case - We wouldn't need that section.
To clairfy yes a .tv name was approved. First time I seen a .tv in high priced domain area.
Bulldog has it right. Then we get this moderator coming on explaining things. Good to know but they probably won't be letting many .tv names inn. They allow trademark names instead lol. Sorry. Had to come out and best of all a .info name.
Oh well.
Glad to see .tv name in it and wish seller well.
Bulldog yes there are many nice names here. Wasn't knocking that, just that the best of the best and a .tv name made it in.
