How long will you hold the premium for?

I'm sure that some of the premiums registered by couple of people here are over $1000 (with 10-15% renewal fee - not definite).
What are your plans if you aren't going to develop it?
Will you try to sell it to an end user as quickly as possible?
Since .TV is being supported and backed by a large company, maybe there will be a good future for .tv domains. Will you try to hold it for a while?

Edit: Update on the renewal fee

http://www.namepros.com/323094-what...-may-1st-4.html

It may be 10-15% from what I read.
Thank you malibumobile

I really like the one I got so I plan on holding onto that for a long time.

(Unless someone comes in with a great offer of course...)

I just called Enom about Premium renewals. The answer I got was that premium renewals are the same as the purchase price and was subject to change. This is drastically different from some of the posts I've seen here.

I asked the person fielding my call to relay to the people that are in charge with premium pricing to consider this:

I have already invested close to $3,000 in premium TV names and I am willing to invest much more in premium names. However, I am not willing to invest further funds without knowing this variable. I was very straight forward that without knowing my renewal costs there is no way I would be willing to risk additional funds.

I also let him know that this issue is actively being discussed in the domain forums and that it would be in their best interest to try and address this if they want domain investors to invest in their names.

I was very aware to keep the conversation professional and made sure he understood that the point of my call was to get a very serious issue addressed that would affect my decision to invest further money with his company.

The gentleman on the phone seemed to completely get what I was saying and he assured me he would forward my comments. As to whether they will give my comments any consideration is yet to be determined.

As for me I plan to hold off on any other purchases of premium names until more details into renewals are provided. I invest in domains. Without full disclosure of renewal plans I consider my $3,000 in purchases a gamble not an investment. I will not gamble further.

Enom support is flipflopping on me now:

"I can not give you a definate price on renewals at this time, only that it will be 10-15% higher on the renewal year. You will be notified prior to the renewal.

As soon as someone offers a decent price, it will be marked sold.

that is really scary- and not a good way to do business- especially with a roll out like this- its bad business and its gonna cause more harm than good- you dont know till just before renewals what you will be paying???? thats crazy-

I only bought 1 premium & i dont plan selling it anytime soon, i really think it was only worth buying Premiums if you were going to Develop.

I bought Belfast.tv which i am REALLy pleased about, i have been trying to bag a UK Geo for a few months and was quoted some BIG prices in the aftermarket for City names that were not half as good as Belfast.

I to only have the 1 premium, all the others were bought at reg fee, so i will develop it and hopefully add more features by selling of some of the other names.

I hope to develop my Premiums but I don't want to spend thousands to tens of thousands of dollars overtime to develop my names if I can't get a better long term contract to use the domain. It might take me a year just to get the concept and funds together to develop the domain. I think it is a very legitimate question to ask; "How can I make any realistic plans to develop my domain if I don't know what my renewal costs are?"
