I also like the revenue sharing offered by demand media.
If you have a name that attracts good traffic, you can start earning money.
It won't be like a regular parked page because you have a site with content (you need to put some work into it I guess).
It's even hosted by them. I don't have to worry about bandwidth or running out of space.
I hope people actually develop them instead of making glorified myspace pages. Too many .tv's that look exactly the same will definitely bring down the value of .tv sites in the eyes of the general public. I like what boston.tv is doing...definitely the right idea.

If Dot Com is King then Dot TV will be the Queen, and I would rather be caught making out with the Queen...
Arghhhh, would like some clarification on this. If it only resolves to the subdomain, then that is lame. I personally don't care because I will dev anyway, but it is kind of a rip to the noobs who pay $25 a year for a glorified myspace.
They are paying for a domain reg not for tools, people are paying $44 at Godaddy and getting nothing but a domain so the tools area bonus.
Its just another option if you own 20 domains you will not develop them all so this gives you a way to get a domain in the search engines and generating some traffic maybe making a little money with a domain that would earn nothing parked.
If you are looking to develop a www.sail.tv you are going to need to spend the money to develop those.
www.ImGay.Tv - Will be developing this in to a professional site later but just wanted to get something started! - Cate - Let me know your site & I'll add it to my website list!

Looks great SKG and it looks like there are plenty that do not go to a sub domain, Like Richard and all the other Demand employees on the ME TV network.
AND CONGRATS TO JOHNTV HE WAS THE ONE WHO OWNED ME.tv and sold the domain giving DEMAND MEDIA use of this great domain
Before I get serious and develop a good domain, I am going to play around with this one, www.valleygirl.tv ....... a recent reg, but no one wanted it up to this point for $100 bucks, now we'll see if, after I play around with it, I can squeeze a bit more dough out.
"Like, omg so totally!" <----RW does his best valley girl immitation......
My first serious one will be either Instructor.tv or AffiliateMarketing.tv .

It sure is easy to get something basic up and running. The forum, what I've looked at, might bneed a little more structure, but I am not sure if we can do more than I have, yet.
Why don't we make some some of effort to contribute to each others forums? That way we can get em' started! We could build a network to help each other.
Do we know why some are not going to SUB domains? I see Richard.tv just loads not Richard-me.tv same for other sites that I went to that look like Demand Media employees
I think when I created the site it said something about the domain resolving properly within 24 hours, so perhaps by tomorrow everything will look hunky dory?
checked my domain's dns settings
and have seen no change
changed it manually to enom's "Our DNS Servers" option
dont know why me.tv does not change it automaticly or why CNAME change to me.tv is not enough
