Be good to have your thoughts on this idea. In my 'day job' I work as a composer. I've done many tracks for all kinds of things over the last few years. Point is, I've got a lot of music that I can chop up into bitesized loops.
dadaaaa....my plan...
I want to offer these loops on Jingles.TV because I figure a growing market is blogs, and bloggers might just want some good quality loops they can stick on their site. I could maybe tie it in with Blogged.TV, another name I hope to do something with.
Thanks for the comments guys. As always, much appreciated.
Hmmm...good point. More that I'm using the extension to describe the purpose, as it were. Doesn't quite fit. But then again, I have done little videos of me creating tunes - to show how certain software sequencers work so this might well be another angle.
Yeah, that would be quite interesting for musicians - a site where users can upload videos of song construction. A kind of before and after...
I agree, the need for jingles for web channel to be part of their branding, associated to their name, as well as to illustrate their video content will increase and will become a real market like ringstones for mobiles. Very good niche. Congrats.
As far as the video angle... the jingle has to fit the visual so why not invite video producers and/or their clients to upload videos, logos and or photos and have the composers submit jingles to suit. You could even have viewers vote on the best jingle for a spot.
As advertising moves away from TV to the net, you could find the jingle market increasing as advertisers look to personalise the internet advertising experiance.....Jingles are certainly a very powerful way of doing that..
