I am very happy with this geo, yes it is not a straight name geo, but this is a special case. I am taking the "Youtube, Community Television Site" method with this site, and will expand the other channels with other style tools as they begin to unfold over the next year and we can see what works and what does not.
I also bring to you,
The "Larry The Cable Guy GEO+PREMIUM.TV Stacking System"
If you notice on the right hand side I have all my geo+premium.TV listed and they are Parked. This is a great way to show what you have for sale, link up for future development, or simply relink to other channels on your main site.
I will also be able to track which names might be of more interest than others, and when I decide to develop, I can pick and choose which tools I wish to use for each .TV Domain.
I also talked to the guys over at Parked and they told me what I am doing is ok as long as you do not click on the links yourself, so perfectly legal no click fraud. I think this system is a great way to promote your geo extensions and you can create your own geo network. Id like to hear other ideas on this.
Ok, well enough with the negative energy, time to push on forward with development.
I wish Demand Media and everyone else luck, and I am greatful for this board and the knowedge I have gained!!!
I thankyou for your input but I think you all might be getting ahead of yourselves a little bit, the site just went public less than 24 hours ago and is now in its testing phaze. Those are test video clips but thankyou for taking the time to look at the site anyways.
We have created a myspace page for the site and started marketing that just yesterday and already have 50 people with good feedback.
What I meant was, it is not just the city name or state name, such as a Florida.tv or a Newark.tv
I have the city Portland with the state Maine combined, but in this case this works real well because so many people when they refer to "Portland" in "Maine" say "Portland Maine" to differentiate from Portland Oregon.
Im not sure if "Straight Name" was the proper term, maybe someone can correct me, but thats what I meant.
