I've had this name in mind for a time and just jumped on to it..to kinda have fun with. I personally like this name a lot, it's cute and seems very versatile. How do you guys like it? Good? Bad? Very good? Very bad?...
Any ideas on who I'd better sell this name to? Possible development potentials?
Wow, I'm drawing a complete blank: normally I have an idea as to how a domain could be used, but I just don't know.....nothing pops in my head.
When I think of me saying, "Oh man," I think maybe I am seeing something painful, like a video of a skateboarder groining himself on a rail, or an Evil Knievel jump gone bad where he wrecks the bike, something that makes me gasp.
Thank you for your input, again! I should be sorry for the painful feelings you have...but that's really an interesting opinion. My view is that the word "man" is versatile and when you combine "Oh" and "Man", you can mean "oh man" (in an amazed way), you can mean "oh mankind" (in a thoughtful yet light way), you can probably even mean "oh men (male humans, in a somewhat playful way)". In a word, to me it's just got some kinda deep touch to it, and yet is expressed in a very light way. But I'm wondering if anyone else feel it? Maybe it's just me?
Another thing I see is, the .tv extension is normally best used for a video site, to put up videos that can express the above meanings is more entertaining and easier for visitors to love than say, if I write some "Oh Man" articles.
These things said, it perhaps all depends on the enduser and what I can do is hoping my thoughts can serve as some inspirations.
Anyone shares some love for this name? As always, i appreciate any ideas from you, and even if you share with Rogue the painful "something", I'd like to hear your voice
The name does not convey a positive image but is in itself a concept, a leitmotiv, a meaningful complain, a hook. I would develop Oh Man.tv as a video blog sheding light on human stupidity, cry from heart highlighting '1st class' mistakes, abuses, scandals affecting human development. Yes big 'sensational' headlines on what man does wrong against himself and the planet, contributing to poverty, hunger, desease, ilitteracy, discrimination, environment degradation etc... issues. Visitors could participate in proposing their own subject matters, visuals from video footage, short editings would illustrate and dynamizespecific subjects. Or the site could focus on one single theme, "Oh Man" could be directly related to human rights issues.....
Thank you all very much for sharing your thoughts and indeed Argo's is very close to what I had in mind as an alternative. But I'm not a literate website developer...at all. And yes as dot says "developed it could be king", I would be so glad if someone can seriously develop this into a king...and I hope I can find "the one" or "the one" can find me (which sounds like the essence of domaining, lol)
Developed ANY name whatsoever is King - even mumbojumbo.tv......the point is if you are gonna be going for a name like OHMAN.TV - it can only have value for its branding potential - I just don't see the branding POTENTIAL right now.....at all ....IMHO...
Now take a recently regged name MR.TV by SKG......the branding potential screams out from every pore of that reg................such regges are few and far between......and if you go with OHMAN - you can go with OHBOY, OHSH*T
OHMYGOD, OHOH, there is nothing about this name that is in anyway a branding oppurtunity
