Very nicely done!
I loved the map of the United States, that looked so awesome when hovering over the states seeing them tilted upwards like tectonic plates.
Nice video integration and overal look.
Project of your own?
Do you do webdesign projects only for yourself or for hire as well?
Very nice site and I think you picked one of the best if not the best uses of that particular URL. Congrats.
If it is not too much trouble, can you share with us those steps you took in developing your site? For example, were you a developer that picked up the site or did you simply contribute the URL as part of a partnership with a developer/designer. I think many of us are curious about the ways other members are going about getting their sites developed by competent people.
I did not develop myself - I used outside developers! Thank you for asking though.
I am neither a developer nor am I part of a partnership. I sketched out the site by hand myself but then hired an off-shore developer to build the site. I have an "intern" type to call candidates, tape videos, etc.
The obvious downside of this approach is that it costs $.
Yes, national.tv is mine also, I have quite a few others as well that I would ultimately like to build out "below" national.tv, but, one thing at a time...
Everyone else: Thank you for the kind words. The challenge remains as with most .tv sites - how do you generate traffic in the short term - even a great name like this has limited type-in traffic, so, unless we build PR, SEO, partnerships, etc, we will just sit there (so please tell your friends/family! LOL).
This is the fundamental challenge and opportunity with .tv - you can get started less expensively (I can't imagine what election(s).com would cost) but then with the saved money from not buying the .com, you have to find a way to make the site viable and accepted...

Tres bien! Clean, professional, intuitive interface, nice branding - kudos. I'm sure this, and all your other projects, will do well. You have a good eye, good sense of what works, and from what little I've read, good business acumen.
I'll pass the word on for you... viva la election.tv!

Very nice. Good luck. Depending on your capital that you have available to spend on promoting the site...there are some great campaign you that you can use through direct mail that might cost 1-2¢ per household to expose people to the site. In theory you can expose 10,000 households in their mailboxes (curbside/legally) for about $100 or so.
This is just a thought. Not sure what your plans are to generate income from the site (outside of the obvious..click traffic ads etc.) But I think there may be a lot of potential with elections coming up.
Much success.
