![]() ![]() | This is huge guys. I'm not one for trying to pump a domain up, it doesn't do anyone, any good, but when Budweiser kicks in that much cash to drive consumers to www.bud.tv (instead of www.budweiser.com/tv) you have to take notice. NOTE: This URL has Superbowl ad written all over it |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | w/ $600m Online Ad budget! A more complete story is at: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/06/bu...ss&oref=slogin "The plans call for Bud TV to offer computer users six channels of comedy, reality, sports and talk programming created for and by Anheuser-Busch. The tentative names for the channels include Comedy, Happy Hour and Reality. Sources for the programs will include agencies that create advertising for Anheuser-Busch like @radical.media and DDB Worldwide, part of the Omnicom Group; companies owned by Hollywood stars like LivePlanet (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon), TriggerStreet.com (Kevin Spacey), and Wild West Picture Show Productions (Vince Vaughn); and production companies like Omelet and Seed. Anheuser-Busch is in discussions with Joe Buck, the sportscaster, to develop a talk show, Mr. Schumacker said, and “we may add a fashion channel” at some point. A seventh channel on Bud TV, tentatively named Bud Tube, will be styled after the popular Web site YouTube (youtube.com), Mr. Schumacker said, giving consumers a chance to “generate their own Anheuser-Busch ads, comedic in nature,” which can be shared with other computer users. The idea for Bud Tube, Mr. Schumacker said, came from another agency that works for Anheuser-Busch, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, also part of Omnicom. The first assignment consumers can tackle, he added, is to make their own versions of a series of Bud Light commercials featuring a character called Ted Ferguson, billed as the “Bud Light daredevil.” ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=235479 Anheuser-Busch will borrow another page from the YouTube playbook, Mr. Ponturo said, by setting up the programming on Bud TV so that computer users can repurpose it on other Web sites like YouTube and MySpace (myspace.com)." -Budweiser will spend $600 in online advertising to promote its website. With the launch of Bud.TV the day after the SuperBowl bets are that the lions share will be used to promote Bud.TV -And at least one Star, Vince Vaughn, is already promoting Bud.TV! ![]() ![]() | For some reason us Yanks are about 6 months to a year behind in the tech sector than Europe. Future growth of an economy will depend on a nation's ability to exploit new and efficient technologies. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=235479 What does this have to do with dot tv? It's a logical extension which is known worldwide. How efficient is www.whatever.com/tv is my point, compared to www.whatever.tv.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is big. You know you are a visionary when some smart people that know a lot about technology and .coms tell you that you are crazy for investing in .tv domain names and that no way will they ever be bigger than .com domain names. First, talk to any individual working at a place like Godaddy. They will tell you that a lot of people did not know you could register domain names. Once these people get online and start buying domains, the demand for domains of all extensions will increase. Obviously, .com, .net, and perhaps even .tv. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=235479 Second, .tv has yet to even be exploited. Streaming television across the internet is the future if you believe some of the stuff being published on the net (that is not to say you should believe the hype; please dont, I like to get my domains cheap). .TV will explode when the networks get online and realize the potential. These guys will snap up domains and push up prices. Third, I am excited. |
