ChannelSelect.tv <- Brandable. Chance that an enduser could find the name appealing Hi-D.tv <- Brandable. Chance that an enduser could find the name appealing for a product name to signify hidef.
For resale purposes, those two are in the category of "names in need of the right buyer to come along", which can be rewarding but there is, also, a higher degree of risk attached to this approach. ie the right circumstances and a bit of good luck.
PcCable.tv <- Although, there are better terms that express this idea, there is some potential here, based upon IP->TV/communications integration, http://www.microsoft.com/tv/IPTVEdition.mspx
I'd love to see you report back here and tell us that you had a nice sale.
The reasons behind my registration of these domains. "Late night"
Channel Select - Cable and dish may soon offer the choice of selecting only the channels you want to receive.
Hi-D - High- Def TV
PC Cable - Personal computer cable for internet TV
As far as the other 3 - " My Dream" Some day our "TV" will be a large screened, programable computer that we can program to automatically search for the priority programs we want brought to our attention or recorded.
We will be able to program our TV to search for programs with our prefered subjct matter, give us a print out or record. Set our TV to automatically record any breaking news programs, like 911. Automatically record any of our
priority sports programs etc...... I try not to ever register a domain after bedtime anymore!!!
"In the middle of the night, domains might just be a nightmare."
I think Hi-d.tv is the best you got, first
of all its 4 character and it goes with HDTV.
Which is like a new thing. But the rest i think
are ok but not worth alot though.
Thanks to all of you for your opinions. Very much appreciated. I have a long way to go before I get the hang of picking a good domain. I have had a couple of sales for high XXX , but these were some of the very first domains I registered. When I started in domains, about a year ago, I registered what I thought were brandable domains. I really had alot of fun doing this. These are also the domains that, so far, I have had the most offers for. Then I got serious. I started reading everything I could on picking a great domain. The more serious I got the less fun (and money) I had. I registered alot of domains that I will probably drop. I think I have come full circle and just want to have fun again. I really enjoy reading all the different views on namepros. If I stop buying domains I can still come to namepros and have some fun. Thanks All! God Bless!
