Mainly becuase I sponsored a thread and then RJ allowed me to start a sub forum in conjunction with Namepros. Namepros is by far thee definitive source for info on .TV. .tv is talked about very little eslewhere on the other forums(Thank God) .tv is not really a domainer ext but to use domainer metrics a LLL.us may go for $100 a LLL.info for $200 to $300 LLL.tv regged all the time at $750. Many .tv sales are not reported because they are usually by end users not other domainers. Another difference is .tv ers are glad others don't like the extension unlike others spamming forums buy idns's, buy .biz etc.......... AND it is not a secret that Verisign owns Great Domains and DOT TV just so long as one can read it is easy to figure out, no mystery. |

  | Exactly.. and it's exactly that sort of bias that hurts GD's credibility as a broker in my opinion. .tv does have some obvious value tho if used correctly.. | OVT results are one thing, how much general public know about these extentsions is another thing. For example, if you say domain.us to your friend, he would think okay something or some business related to USA But if you say domain.tv to your friend, he would right away know that it has something to show from .tv relates to television Two interesting points. Let us say world population is 6 billion, I bet at least 3 billion know what is television.   | .[whatever] will never be able to compete with .com for each and every top level domain extension and ccTLD are marketed as .coms lesser known and lesser important younger cousin, an alternative extension when the dotcom is taken. .tv however is immesurable against .com, like oranges and apples, its induction into the www namwspace coupled with the fact (and i use the word FACT literally) that television and the internet are merging fast will ensure that ONLY this extension will become the preferable registration for users in the years to come... imho. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=154625 Remember most developed dot coms are only 10 years old. Spin the clock forward another 10 years and anything could happen.. What is going to happen is that the way we watch television will be through streaming - its cheaper and requires less infrastructure for the providers - so as a betting man, things are not clear as to what is going to happen, but as the odds on favorite, im sticking with dot tv. Whats so difficult to understand about that..??
