ya.. but I am pretty sure this is not the original owner... the original owner was wmldi if I remember correctly.

wlmdi was not even the original owner. This was purchased on Afternic in early 2007 when I saw it for sale for $1,666. This domain has a been around the block and was probably purchased for $10K-$15K in this round.

It was offered to me as well, because I own Michigan.TV. It's a great combo but I was not able to secure it, no extra money to acquire the name.

I disagree, this domain is worth $10K-$25K to an end user in the current market. Maybe a few years down the road it will be worth six figures - but right now. no.

With all my GEO .TVs, I couldn't even sell WashingtonDC.TV or StLouis.TV (which are both also reg fee) for more than $10K-$15K.

You know how many offers I get. Alot of stuff below $5,000.

You would be crazy to sell this name - even at $50,000 - but you would be so right to develop the name to its full extent.

Detroit is the weirdest city I have ever been to. The core has been ripped right out and there are great strides being made to get some heart back. Your timing could not have been better for developing - I feel you might get a lot of local assistance if this was done properly.
