I was wondering what you thought of the above name. As you're probably aware, Poker names are quite popular these days.

I think it could be a great site for poker instruction, learning the hands and what to do with them... Most of the other names are too generic, this one could be a great niche. You could get some famous poker player to shoot some videos, it may not even cost that much if he (or she!) wanted the publicity.

If you developed this site, I think you could get a lot for it. The .tv extension is good to develop for poker because there are a couple of established domain names already using the extension (RawVegas.tv) comes to mind. But the key is to develop it.

Unfortunately, .tv doesn't have a lot of potential for end-users because the extension gets very very little natural type-in traffic... so the only way you'd be able to get $x,xxx for a .tv is if you were selling to an end-user who had already developed the .com version. Any .tv is going to be very hard to liquidate to a domainer simply because there are so many which are still available just for a reg fee and are expensive to keep.

If you were going to try to liquidate the domain name today undeveloped on eBay I'd speculate that you'd get less than reg fee. But if you developed it, got a few links coming in, and had even a small amount of traffic trickling in, you could sell it for a pretty decent amount. If a developed poker website was getting 1,000 uniques a month, I'd estimate you could liquidate it on eBay for about $10k no matter what the extension was.
