Ammudamus, great domain. Great potential for hotels, boutiqe/art deco, restaurants and nightclubs. Very expensive region with many European visitors and big money with an average beer going for $10+ a bottle To the right end-user I would easily say 10K-15K or more. Good luck with the domain, great catch.

where is southbeach , it makes me wonder how non generic names can command a premium fee ....... what i mean is that i had to do a google search to find out where it was ? i do understand that in miami it does mean something , but what i am saying is that it is not a word like cat or dog , i do wish you well with it , it just sucks that we pay a heap for certain names that can be argued are not generic ??? cheers
Actually, southbeach.tv was never meant to be a generic. It's a geo, a major tourist destination in Florida. And last year, South Beach attracted 12 million tourists, which is massive.
To give you a few additional stats about "south beach" from a domaining point of view :
- Wordtracker : 1440/day
- Overture : 47978/month
- Max PPC bid : $13.26
- Max PPC Income : $464.10/day
For $500/year, it can prove to be a bargain as there's really a lot of potential in this name. Excellent registration IMHO.
as i said yes it does mean something in miami ....... but not to me in australia , i am just saying everything seems to be 'premium' these days ,,, sorry you missed my point
Ammudamus, Great Geo! Huge tourism market for the US, South America, and the UK. I really like this one since its very focused and lends itself so well to online video, from the “topless” beach to Ocean Drive. Very few places in America have so much going on in such a concentrated footprint. Tons of hotels, restaurants, clubs, boutiques, art galleries, etc. who might jump at the chance to be on SouthBeach TV
IMO – at least worth low to mid xxxx and possibly up to xx,xxx+ for the right end user. But, certainly, this would be a fun and rewarding GEO to develop. The fact that the .com and .net are glorified parking pages – you have a real opportunity here. Huge potential. Good Luck. CarryOn.
Great name. In the USA, "South Beach" is well known. It's not how big the
GEO area is but what kind of tourist dollars it brings in. I would take this name over some USA geo cities because of that. Great job. If you develop the site put some "cuban women" up there. I have been there 4 times and those cuban women that hang out there are amazing. Of course, that was before I was married but great memories
I tried to buy a smaller beach resort domain just a little while ago, and they were asking $4,000. SouthBeach would be much more valuable than that one, though I should also mention that I passed at that price.

Carryon,
It's interesting to note that the .com version is owned by Hotels.com. I am a bit surprised that they would not have gone on to full development. Quantcast only lists about 2.2K of monthly traffic as well.
