wow, that is weird- i once posted a long time ago that when we were first introduced to richard and all he does- that i had read not to count on him for the long run- he builds entities, then sells off-
this would be weird if he did that yet again-
not sure if it would matter tho, unless yahoo had a better relationship with verisign in organizing .tv- demand or yahoo- it is still all up to verisign how tv is run

This would be really bad IMO. yahoo is the worst registrar out there. For all those who have their domains at enom this would be a good time to transfer out before they make renewals $89.99 LOL!
they screwed everyone with .Com why not take a chunk out of .Tv's A$$

I agree with acrobat. This would be really bad. Yahoo has been in a downward spin for the past while and management has made some crap decisions. I would not want this group running dm for .TV's sake.
This is interesting. Feel mixed about this. Good for founder of demand media, team and a way to cash out.
Guess that's cash out exit for Hollywood.tv and I am sure he got several thouands in options. Wise call when everyone was asking why he put it on channel me network. Great exit if it works out
Now google has been rumored in buying godaddy last year.
1.5 billion vs 3.0 billion is a huge difference. So we shall see I guess
need to ponder my brain on this more on how its going impact us or I may wait to see if this actually closes.
Right at the top of search results (search.extension) is available (or on auction). Register here using your yahoo account.
They are definitely in a position to build awareness, and the net result would be to create an escalation in domain purchases. They can use their existing tools to integrate quickly buildable sites and play favorites with search results.
There may be incentives, from that angle, for keeping prices reasonable. Strikes me as a natural phase in the consolidation attempts of the internet. If they succeeded, google and msn would be forced to react as well.
Not sure about all of the implications, just some thoughts on the matter.
