![]() ![]() | AT&T Ending Unlimited Data Plans Not sure if it's truly good news for .mobi, but I can't think of any reason why it would be bad news... AT&T to end unlimited pricing plan for mobile data | Reuters |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is neither good nor bad news. At the end of the day developers have to make the same decision on whether or not to serve content differently to mobile users and if they will use .mobi, a .com redirect or a mobile CSS. I can't agree with the implication in this thread that users will look for .mobi just to be safe in fear of the .com not redirecting. Nobody is going to say, "Whatever.com might not be mobile optimized and I'm low on bandwidth, so I'm going to ____.mobi instead." There just isn't enough serious .mobi development for much of anyone to fill in that blank. Even .mobi enthusiasts would have a hard time surfing like that. |
