I must be I just spent another xxx on another .mobi name.

I saww some serious bidding going on for a few great premium names. If I had more $$$ I would have got them .

Buy when everyone is selling...

follow the leader doesn't always work, mobi is still a cointoss, I still don't get it when .com's etc work just the same with mobile browsers.

It is about branding. Domain.mobi tells you right off that this website is intended to work on your phone. Domain.com MIGHT work - or maybe you will have a 5 minute download, scrolling all over the place, and so on.

Yes, it is not needed. But it is the most elegant way to present a website intended for phones.
