I'm pretty sure it's allowed, but given the current domainer-to-domainer .mobi sales climate, I don't think anyone feels very confident that they'd make any profit at the NP auction.

That's correct -- there's nothing disallowing .mobi domains from being auctioned, however like you said (and this is true of many domain segents), most people aren't particularly thrilled to sell their domains at a loss or at a substantially smaller profit. In my opinion, I don't think a Namepros auction is the best way to go about selling a .mobi domain.

basically, some guy named "mjnels" killed the domainer to domainer aftermarket with his crazy super duper firesales.

ok ok so im not that cool... but with Monday comes the ultra firesale 300+ mobi's... yeehaaaa </shameless self promotion>

By the way, we have a "spam thread" for domain sales in the short domains forum -- would you guys like a thread in the main .mobi forum where everyone could list .mobi domains under a certain price?

doubt it would do any good.. if i ever list specific domains i always post them in the marketplace.. i know some try to post in the main sections and even start new threads to increase the number of people that see em but really should be kept in the marketplace when mentioning specific domains... i think at one time there was one of those threads stickied in the main section here but it didnt get used much after the hype phase of 2006/early 2007
