this is old news... .mobi is alive and kicking @$$ .. at the rate .mobi is gowing... the future is friendly to those of us who own... premium words.

Perfect analogy ... while the Titanic was sinking the band kept playing ...
what the video shows is that .mobi has NO USE WHATSOEVER from a
technological point ... that is it has NO USE WHAT-SO-EVER .. N-O-N-E to improve the surfing experience on mobile devices which was the main point
of .mobi ... you can however make the argument that you can spend a TON
of money marketing your .mobi " premium " keyword ... but then again you
can do this with .biz, .info etc etc.

I never invested in .mobi's, mostly 'cause I'm a .com'er and secondly, I never saw the point. Unless mobil browsing were restricted to only the .mobi extenstion, which it is not. IMO the ony .mobi's that are worth while are single word generics, very short names or names that are very, very relative to the "mobil" industry.

iphone, full browser, wap will kill mobi extension....now that dosent mean mobi use will dry up....mobi use and browsing is huge.....just .mobi extension is dead....also,

i took my losses and moved forward, had a couple nice sales in mobi..

As a domainer, .mobi has been friendly to me and profitable... i have no reason to give up on my investment.... and no reason to care what phone can do what....

the mobile market needs a online directory dedicated to mobile sites... and .mobi is the answer.

The rhetoric on this thread seems like just regurgitated propaganda against the .mobi extension.

The bottom line is we are all in the same barrel when it comes to domaining and basically scrapping the barrell, when it comes to the REAL players in this market. I realise some do post on this and other forums however, I felt compelled to make this comment.

I really can't see the sense in canning a particular TLD when we should all embrace DOMAINS regardless of the extension, as one.
Rest assured .com is KING without doubt however, a re-assessement of domain values in general in on the way, once ICAAN decides to re-enter into the equation.

For me advances in techonology will always be pivotal in any form of investment but the basic pricinples relative to DOMAINS, remain constant

I have never seen a .info, .net, .us, .biz advertised on cinema screens... I saw .mobi - Toshiba was promoting .mobi for their computer!
