Mobile v. PC Detection and Display

Hello all.

Is it permissible, per dotmobi's rules, to build a .mobi site which detects whether a viewer is viewing the website from a mobile or pc browser and, based upon such detetection, displays either a mobile version of the site or a pc (larger) version of the site?

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could direct me to dotmobi's rules concerning this issue. Thanks

Thanks for your quick response Cobo!

Do you or anyone else know the precise link where this is addressed by dotmobi?

Not the precise link --- not sure there is even such a thing.
But it is common knowledge that this strategy is being pursued by many.
I have personally discussed this with the mTLD folks at dotMOBI "Happenings" and nothing contrary was ever mentioned.
As long as the site resolves from a mobile phone as per their regs, you can most certainly do the "large site" as well!
Most top mobi developers are utilizing this detection strategy!
So....... Go For It!
