Had an enquiry, what do you think?

Had an enquiry on another forum on the below names. Haven't been active in this part of the forum for quite a while so not sure how much I should ask for them.

Wondering what you thought that these names are worth?

eGamers(dot)mobi - new addition
USAProperties(dot)mobi
WeSellHouses(dot)mobi

well....

there are SOOOOO many people here way more qualified than myself to answer from the domainers perspective,

but ,

from an end users perspective many real estate firms , even in smaller markets, spend THOUSANDS every month in advertising just to put on a big show and compete with other brokers. if mobi does take off (its looking to me like it is) it might be worth many more times what you are being offered in just a few years.....

---------------------------

from a domainers pov, those are GOOD names, but if they are offering you enough that you could buy some GOOD 3-4 letter generics that you felt really good about, then perhaps selling those and buying even better mobis (while the market is down) would be an even better choice....
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-mobi/476120-had-enquiry-what-do-you-think.html

i know i didnt answer a dollar value, but i hope that what i did say makes sense....

cheers,
d

Haven't had an offer just a request as to how much I want for the name.

I wouldn't quote more than $100 per name, assuming you want them sold, considering the offer was from a fellow domainer.

Shoot I'd give $100 for wesellhomes if you want. As for the
other, $50-$75 seems fair.

Oh just noticed it is wesellhouses, not "homes". Maybe worth $30.

Wondering what you thought that these names are worth?

USAProperties(dot)mobi
WeSellHouses(dot)mobi

sf2010 is a comedian (at least, that's all I can assume ;-)

If you've had an enquiry it's clear someones interested..... they aren't bad names at all.

I think USA properties may be of more interest to maybe the UK market as a portal to access US homes is Florida etc.. but for the sake of $10 a year I'd hold the name for another 3 or 4 years before selling it for anything less than $500 (& that's bare minimum)

"We sell houses" is probably better than "we sell homes"... a house is a house first & a home 2nd..

I would say the same about the value of that too...

I would suggest that you should make an offer to the interested party that you are looking at these names as a medium to long term investment & say that you would only consider selling at the present time if an offer in the region of $2,000 was on the table.

& then politely request their feedback.

When selling.... don't act as if you need to sell, nor as if you really want to sell.... bide your time & stay cool... this policy works on anyone except the tire kickers.

(if you own a shop & are selling groceries then this is not a sales policy I'd advise ;-)

Good luck.

Gary

Thanks a lot for all the comments. Will add rep to the people that I can.

Also, got an enquiry for eGamers(dot)mobi, would appreciate thoughts on this one too. Will edit original post.

I would have to agree with you there Gary. People would rather sell their house then sell a home. A home is something that you make out of a house. People get very emotional with their homes

What would you rather have...homes.com or houses.com? I would

go with homes every time. However, both wesellhomes.com and
wesellhouses.com are redirects to Remax.com. I guess the name
has great potential either way!

Hi Keith

It's down to context (& semantics) I would say that Estate agents sell houses & the public buy homes.... so both terms work; but in the context of wesellhouses I suggest that wesellhomes would be better for a bespoke developer selling their own developments - as a tag line they could claim that they 'sell homes' (Realty / Estate agents in the broader sense sell property; being houses, bungalows, apartments, mansions, flats, condos, villas etc.. all for investor or private buyers, only the latter of which would be looking for a home... ;-)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=476120
In all a rather pointless argument as it would be wise to own both variants

houses / homes

houses = houses

homes = houses, condos, duplexes, mobile homes, pre-fab homes, etc
