Which phones work with mobi sites?

I'm looking for a complete list of the types of phones that work for mobi websites/ mobi surfers.

Sorry if this is a dumb question! The reason I ask is because I tried to access a few developed mobi websites from my basic Verizon phone that I've had for about 3 years as well as a new Verizon phone that is supposed to be similar to the iPhone.

I got error messages so I started wondering if ALL mobile phones (that allow you to surf the net) will let you access and view mobi sites or if this is a feature that is only on certain phone? (If so, which phones??)

ALL mobile phones (that allow you to surf the net) will BASICALLY let you access and view mobi sites.

iphone should be one of the best, because of browser, interface, processing power and last but not lest resolution / display size.
