As some of you may know, GoDaddy is offering new .mobi registrations for $7.99. What I thought was interesting is what they have to say about the extension. I especially like the last bullet point. Remember that they are about the biggest domain registrar out there!:

Mobi Christmas! (Polar Bear TM)

I've been meaning to take a snapshot of the promo logo (GoDaddy home page, top center, right next to BobParsons' Blog promotion).

Will take a screenshot next time it appears, if that's not against NP TM rules.

Hope somebody remembered to mention a Super Bowl ad to Santa for next year. It's not strictly necessary of course, but since we're constantly being told there is too much .mobi hype then I guess we might just as well have some.

Well, I think it's gone beyond hype at this point. Even if .mobi only gets a very small slice of the 2.2 billion pie, it's going to be one of the top 3 extensions in the world, IMHO.

I think it's funny that they say you don't need an IPhone to use .mobi, LOL.
