Sans any End users / developers bidding to acquire domains to build unique and compelling websites for those that are "on the go" ... probably more typical narrow "trading range" status quo, IMHO.

Just my two sense.

Having attended the last three TRAFFIC's, I can tell you that it is not just a dot com crowd. I have met quite a number of mobi owners at each show....from people who are active & well known on this forum to one woman whom I had never heard of before....from North Carolina, and she has thousands of mobi names. I can't remember her total number, but it was along the lines of 2500 or 3000 mobi domain names in her portfolio.
I also think that people attend conventions like TRAFFIC to learn about what is up-and-coming and to broaden their horizons. I imagine that buyers may migrate to an extension like mobi (from dot com) as their perceptions of the market change (and an auction like the one today can do that)....just like you see people switching what kind of common stocks they buy....a big investor will often be a known buyer of conservative value stocks, and next thing you know they are buying tech stocks. Granted, TRAFFIC is more of a domainer's convention then a developer's convention.....but the strong theme today is that the domainers need to get more of their domains developed to extract greater value from them, and to keep up with the evolving and challenging landscape.
